The short version: your assessment and reflections stay in this browser. We receive your email only if you choose to join the newsletter, and we receive your identity only if you make a separate personalization choice. We keep limited first-party traffic and security logs, but do not currently use third-party analytics, advertising trackers, or visitor tracking cookies, and we do not sell personal information.

Assessment data stored on your device
When you complete the assessment, Astrophysis saves your identity, five-part signature, classification details, and completion date in your browser’s local storage. Optional daily reflections are also stored there. This lets the site restore the result you asked it to remember without sending those answers to us.
Astrophysis keeps this information for up to 12 months after an assessment or reflection is saved. Retaking the quiz replaces the saved profile and restarts that period. Browser controls or the button below can erase it sooner. Clearing browser data, using private browsing, or changing devices may also remove it.
Local storage is a browser storage technology and is covered by many of the same rules as cookies. Astrophysis uses it only to provide the saved-result feature the visitor requests. It is not used to track visitors across sites or build advertising profiles. Your identity leaves the browser only if you separately choose identity-based email personalization when subscribing. Astrophysis does not set cookies for ordinary visitors; its restricted operator console uses a strictly necessary login-session cookie. The site may remove the obsolete identity cookie created by an earlier version.
Control data on this device
This removes the saved assessment profile, identity, signature, and daily reflections from this browser. It does not unsubscribe an email address or remove an identity you separately chose to share with Brevo; contact us for those requests.

Information Astrophysis receives
Newsletter information
If you voluntarily subscribe, we receive your email address and your affirmative marketing consent. Brevo processes that information to send a double-opt-in confirmation, manage the list, deliver messages, and process unsubscribes.
If you already have a saved result, the signup form offers a separate, optional checkbox for identity-based emails. If selected, Brevo receives your identity name and a record of that personalization choice so Astrophysis can segment or tailor monthly messages. Brevo does not receive your individual answers, numerical signature, or daily reflections. General newsletter signup does not require identity sharing.
Newsletter processing is based on your consent. We keep an active subscriber’s email while subscribed. After an unsubscribe, Brevo may retain a limited suppression record as needed to honor the request and meet legal obligations.
Ordinary technical information
Astrophysis records limited first-party traffic and security information: IP address, country code when our hosting infrastructure makes one available, general device type, browser and operating-system category, requested page, time, and error or security event. We use this information to count visits, understand broad site usage, troubleshoot errors, identify suspicious requests, and block abusive IP addresses. It is not combined with your locally stored assessment, signature, or reflections and is not used for advertising profiles.
Raw Astrophysis traffic and security records are normally deleted after 30 days. We may retain a blocked IP address while a block is necessary and retain non-identifying aggregate totals, such as an all-time page-view count, for longer. Access is restricted to the site operator. Our hosting provider may keep separate infrastructure logs under its own operational, security, contractual, and legal retention schedules.
Social sharing
Share buttons do not load social-media software or contact a social platform just because you view a page. X and Facebook receive the public page address only after you select their button. The Instagram button uses your device's share sheet when available; otherwise it copies the public page address for you to paste. Any platform you choose applies its own privacy policy. When sharing an assessment result, Astrophysis sends people to the general identity page—not your locally stored answers or numerical signature.
03
How information is used and disclosed
We use information only to operate and secure the site, restore requested local features, deliver consented newsletters, respond to messages, and meet legal obligations.
Information may be processed by vendors acting for us, such as website hosting, security, and Brevo for email delivery. Those providers may process information in other countries under their contractual and legal safeguards. We may also disclose information if legally required or reasonably necessary to protect the site and its users.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use assessment information for advertising. We link an email address with an identity only when the subscriber separately requests identity-based emails.
04
Advertising and storage choices
Astrophysis does not currently load ad code, third-party analytics, social pixels, or personalized-ad tracking. Its first-party operational request records are described above. Hidden layout markers for possible future ad spaces do not contact Google or collect information. Because the current device storage supports only a feature the visitor requests, we do not show a consent banner that has nothing optional to control.
Before any non-essential analytics or advertising technology is activated, we will update this policy and add a consent manager where required. It will offer an equally clear choice to accept or refuse, allow later withdrawal, respect applicable browser privacy signals, and keep newsletter consent separate.
05
Your choices and rights
Erase the assessment and reflections from this browser using the control above.
Unsubscribe from marketing through the link in any newsletter.
Withdraw identity-personalization consent while remaining on the general list by contacting us.
Ask about, access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information we hold about you.
Withdraw consent or object to direct marketing at any time.
Lodge a complaint with the privacy regulator where you live.
We cannot retrieve local assessment data because it never reaches us. For information we do hold, email hello@astrophysis.online. We may need to verify a request before acting on it.
06
California and European privacy information
California
In the preceding 12 months, the categories we may have collected are identifiers such as a voluntarily submitted email address and internet or electronic network activity in ordinary server logs and, only after a separate opt-in, an identity-based preference derived from your locally saved result. Sources are you and our hosting infrastructure; purposes and recipients are described above. We do not sell or share these categories for behavioral advertising and do not knowingly sell or share information about anyone under 16.
If California privacy law applies, residents may request access, correction, or deletion and may exercise applicable opt-out and non-discrimination rights. Because Astrophysis does not sell or share personal information, a “Do Not Sell or Share” link is not currently necessary. We will honor applicable Global Privacy Control signals if that practice changes.
European Economic Area and United Kingdom
Astrophysis acts as controller for newsletter and direct-contact information. The legal bases are consent for marketing, legitimate interests for proportionate site security and troubleshooting, and legal obligation where applicable. Depending on your location, you may have rights of access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, withdrawal of consent, and complaint to a supervisory authority.
07
Children, security, and third-party links
Astrophysis is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. Visitors below the age at which they can consent to marketing where they live should not subscribe without a parent or guardian’s permission.
We use reasonable safeguards, but no browser, transmission, or storage system is perfectly secure. Links to services such as PayPal open third-party sites governed by their own terms and privacy practices.
08
Updates and contact
We may revise this policy as the site changes. The date above will identify the current version, and material changes will be presented prominently when appropriate.
